All events are free of charge, do not require insurance of any kind, and are available to any enrolled UC Berkeley student.

Financial Resources

Join our virtual drop-in hours to meet with our Basic Needs Financial Aid and Scholarships Office (FASO) Counselors. FASO has counselors focused on basic needs security to answer questions and address concerns related to accessing and understanding your financial aid.

A peer-to-peer financial wellness program housed in the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office at UC Berkeley. Join our in person drop-in hours at the Basic Needs Welcome Center to meet with a financial wellness peer educator to help you budget, manage debt, understand your credit, and more.

Food and Nutrition Resources

Meet with a registered dietitian over video or phone and ask about your general nutrition concerns. These 15-minute sessions are free and offered on a first come, first serve basis.

The Food Justice Project serves UC Berkeley students who have been denied CalFresh benefits. Join our virtual drop-in hours and meet with Berkeley Law students who assist individuals in navigating the appeals process by providing direct client services.

Housing Resources
- Student Legal Services
- Chat with the Attorney for Students, who advise currently registered Cal students regarding their legal questions, rights, and obligations. A student legal consultation might include (but is not limited to) one of the following examples: a landlord-tenant dispute, a citation for a criminal infraction or misdemeanor, filing an action in California Small Claims Court, questions related to debt and/or collection actions, issues arising from a car accident or auto insurance, or questions about family law.
