Who We Are

The BNC Care Team is a group of professional staff dedicated to supporting students. This includes:

Care Coordinators: Provide individualized planning for students
CalFresh Coordinator: Provide CalFresh eligibility and application navigation.
Financial Aid Counselors: Provide basic needs-related financial aid counseling and support

Services We Offer

Service Support: A standardized process to identify the best service pathway.
Resource Education & Navigation: Helping students understand eligibility for programs like CalFresh or navigating Financial Aid processes.
Emergency Housing (E-Housing): A crisis stabilization measure for students experiencing immediate housing loss.
Emergency Funding Assessment: Coordination with the Basic Needs Emergency Fund (BNEF) for students facing unexpected financial hardship.
Campus Referrals: Active coordination and direct connections to campus partners.

While we protect your privacy, please know that BNC staff are "Responsible Employees". This means if you share information about sexual harassment, discrimination, or immediate safety threats, we are required to notify the appropriate campus office to ensure you have access to full support.
