After Applying to CalFresh Step-by-Step Guide
Complete the Interview
After submitting a CalFresh application, the County has up to 30 days to determine whether you will receive benefits. Within these 30 days, you will likely receive information regarding a scheduled interview to go over your application with your caseworker.
Maintaining Benefits
After approval of your CalFresh application, you will need to periodically complete reports to maintain your benefits. Within 6 months after you apply, you will receive the Semi-Annual Report (SAR-7) in the mail. This must be submitted in order for you to keep your benefits! Within 1 year after you apply, you must submit the recertification form.

After linking your case to your BenefitsCal account, you will be able to access important notices from the County.
CalFresh Perks
